TechAmaka

TechAmaka

TechAmaka is a Creative Space Startups initiative put forward with the goal of advancing technology inclusion for all children, youth, and women. Launched in March 2021 with the objective of empowering, 10,000 young people with basic digital literacy skills by 2025.

The project seeks to use technology as a tool for social change, primarily by providing digital skills to individuals in underserved communities within Nigeria. The program was originally designed for young girls aged 8-18 years, however, following results from the pilot in April, the project was revised to meet more groups i.e., Kids (schooled and unschooled)  Women entrepreneurs, unskilled and unemployed youth.

Understanding the challenge of lack of infrastructure and facilities in this community, the TechAmaka project will use a mobile ICT lab with the tools and facilities to adequately empower members of underserved communities with relevant ICT skills.

Program Objective

Inspire and build the capacity of 10,000 young people in underserved communities by showing them the possibilities in the tech world.
